Wolfmother

After a brief hiatus, Stockdale returned with a new four-piece band in January 2009 featuring bassist and keyboardist Ian Peres, rhythm guitarist Aidan Nemeth and drummer Dave Atkins. The new lineup's first album (entitled Cosmic Egg) was released on 23 October 2009.

Everyone should know I think, in some reviews of The Parlor Mob they are cited. As The Parlor Mob, based on something from 70's. And just as The Parlor Mob are compared with Led Zeppelin. What do you think?

I like, I think very interesting, and Stockdale has an incredible voice as well as Mark. In the new album Stockdale's voice is much better, evolved as the band, which seems to seek new horizons...

this is probably my other new favorite band after the parlor mob. I love the old school rock vibe, and it pays tribute to a lot of great bands from the 60s and 70s: Zeppelin, Sabbath, even some Beatles and Pink Floyd. Cosmic egg is a great album and i would love to see Wolfmother and The Parlor Mob tour together.

Well, it has indeed a lot of the same influences, but the latest album of Wolfmother had a less 'rocky' sound then the first. The first album had a more raw energetic way of producing, which they completely changed and now it's not as rock as their first or as, for example, the album of The Parlor Mob, which has still got a 'live-energetic' feel to it, though it's also polished.

But, probably, it's just not my taste, the way Cosmic Egg has been produced, but Wolfmother's first album is still legendary.
